Director Lesley Barnard with the 2015 Show of the Year award.
At the annual Clover Showtime theatre awards ceremony in Port Elizabeth on Friday, January 29, 2016, for the first time in 25 years, the 2015 Show of the Year trophy was presented to a play, Twelfth Night.
The brand-new cup was handed over to PE Shakespearean Festival president Rocky Mann and the play's director, Lesley Barnard, by Clover's senior national promotions officer, Milly Kempon on the Little Theatre stage.
Lesley Barnard was named the 2015 Best Director for a play for Twelfth Night while Tim Collier was named Best Supporting Actor for his role as Feste in Twelfth Night.
Best supporting actress, play, went to Helen Flax for her role as Maria in Twelfth Night while Bennie Gerber won Best Comedy Performance as Malvolio in Twelfth Night.
The Clover Bowl for Special Achievement in Theatre was awarded to Rocky Mann for leading the effort to revitalise Mannville and return it to previous popular status in 2015 and Other Desert Cities.
